Kenneth Ray Knowles - Texas Bondsman

Kenneth Ray Knowles, 69, died Friday, February 6, 2009, in Wichita Falls.
A celebration of his life was held on what would have been his 70th birthday, Tuesday, February 10, 2009, at Lamar Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Ronnie Lawson directed by Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home. Interment was the following day, February 11, 2009, at Coleman Cemetery in Coleman, Texas.
Kenneth was born February 10, 1939, in Fry, Texas, to William Henry and Pearlie Golden (Fuller) Knowles. He is an alumnus of Texas Tech. He started Central Bail Bonds 31 years ago, and it has grown into Texas’ largest privately owned bail bond business, which now has 43 locations. He was a member of the BCI, Better Business Bureau, Professional Bondsmen of Texas, and was instrumental in the formation of the Professional Bail Agents of the United States. He was extremely involved with many community organizations, both financially and on a personal level. He was a member of Thornberry Baptist Church.
Mr. Knowles is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Pearlie Knowles; sisters, Lois Pearl Harkins, and Bobby Jean Winton; brother, William “Son” Knowles II; grandson, Nevin Christopher Knowles; and wife, Roberta Fern Knowles.
Survivors include Vera Knowles of Wichita Falls; daughter, Angela Faye Burgher; son, Kent Aaron Knowles, both of Iowa Park; daughter, Kristy Renee Knowles-Acker of Fort Worth, Texas; sister, Patsy Knowles Cox and husband, Ronnie Cox of Mustang, Okla.; grandchildren, Talya Nicole Burgher, Chase Michael Burgher, Koby Joseph Knowles, Tori Ray Piner Burgher, Kennzie Dennise Knowles, Jack Kent Knowles, Cole
