Posting Fee to Help Victims of Domestic Violence

Existing Mississippi law was recently amended to create a $10 per bond assessment to be paid at the time of posting. The collected fees will then be deposited to the Victims of Domestic Violence Fund by the clerk of court..

House Bill 989 was passed by the Mississippi Legislature before being signed by the Governor on March 30. A $10 assessment will be collected on each cash bond, surety bail bond, property bond and guaranteed arrest bond. Click the link below to view the House Bill 989.
